Continuing the Sistine Ceiling explanations, I decided to go straight to the main aspects in order to speed up the work.
As I stated before, the Sistine Ceiling paintings showcase the evolution of the idea of salvation. The final conception of salvation is the deepest self-consciousness. To represent that innermost state of awareness I chose the Hymn Of The Pearl related to apostle Thomas (Thomas Judas Didymus).
There are four pearls displayed among the paintings that are vital for the understanding of the whole Sistine Ceiling. The first two pearls have the function to define the local and the meaning of the last two. The first pearl, disguised as a jar on the painting entitled "The Drunkenness of Noah", reveals that the central and the last pearl will be outlined using a shoulder and an elbow.
On this post, I'm revealing the central pearl. People have noticed that the mantle behind God has the shape of a human brain, but it represents a giant oyster shell as well. The left shoulder of God is the brightest point on the whole painting sketching the pearl with its light and shadow.
At this point on the visual narrative of the Sistine Ceiling, the idea of salvation is transformed in a deep self-consciousness state, which is offered to mankind.
I reveal on this visual explanation some small secrets and the beginning of a huge one: my name, Michelangelo, is written on the first half of the Sistine Ceiling and it starts with the "M" formed by the legs of Adam and Eve.

Como já disse, as pinturas teto da Capela Sistina mostram a evolução da idéia de salvação. A concepção final de salvação é a mais profunda auto-consciência. Para representar esse estado mais profundo de consciência, eu escolhi o Hino da Pérola, relacionado ao Apóstolo Tomé (Thomas Judas Dídimo).
Há quatro pérolas entre as pinturas que são vitais para a compreensão de todo o Teto da Capela Sistina. As duas primeiras pérolas têm a função de definir o local e o significado das duas últimas. A primeira pérola, disfarçada como um jarro na pintura intitulada "A embriaguez de Noé", revela que a central e a última pérola serão representadas através de um ombro e um cotovelo.
Neste post, estou revelando a pérola central. Muitos já notaram que o manto atrás de Deus tem a forma do cérebro humano, mas representa a concha de uma imensa ostra também. O ombro esquerdo de Deus é o ponto mais brilhante de toda a pintura e dá forma com sua luz e sombra a uma pérola.
Neste ponto da narrativa visual do teto da Capela Sistina, a idéia de salvação é transformada em um estado de auto-consciência profunda, que é oferecida para a humanidade.
Eu revelo nesta explicação visual alguns pequenos segredos e o início de um enorme segredo: o meu nome, Michelangelo, está escrito na primeira metade do teto da Capela Sistina e começa com o "M" formado pelas pernas de Adão e Eva.
