The battle between the normal logic of being and the madness that I was involved in took place. The whole thing took me two months. You won't belive the pressure among me to finish the work quickly. This was the main piece and because of that I had much more time to do it.

Thank you, Van Goskar. I use a nickel (níquel in portuguese) wire connected to powerful lamps. The wire's temperature depends on the number of lamps.

But I have to confess that your analysis of my madonnas brought me back the years of complete immersion in my art. The doubts about the expression of a single detail, technical decisions, etc.
Yes, this head looks very tortured indeed and don't want to remember why. I'm choosing the images that I think are the best to explain my story and this is no easy task: there's an ocean of photos here. Photos of a lifetime I prefer to forget.

Yes, petunia_rocks01, the central figure is twisted like you said. But my understanding of the classic contrapposto movement don't bend the torso like this. The true contrapposto it's a body with an accurate balance of limbs and anatomic angles with harmonized curves.

Thanks, aongarcia. Yes, I was commissioned. This sculpture is my favorite work of last year's carnival. I'm very proud of the way I did it: almost alone! The money was less important because it was my first work to Salgueiro, one of the most popular and powerful samba school.
But to avoid my Italian Renaissance's drive I inspired myself with pictures of american pin up girls of the 50's.
