I remember reading a lot about Hindu cosmology and getting access to some pieces that merchants received from India. The skull on the head it's a detail that I could have found described on a text as well as the phallic suggestion on the left. The statuettes that I maybe had seen could possibly be very similar to the ones I found on the web. But the illustration could be almost identical. I don't know how I found them in the renaissance Rome under the Inquisition surveillance but some of these images make me fell like rediscovering old secret toys. =)

Ardhanarishvara marks the boundary of the higher chakras, where the male and female aspects of God are united again and the opening of the third eye takes place.

Lembro-me de ter lido muito sobre cosmologia hindu e de ter tido acesso a algumas peças que comerciantes recebiam vindas da Índia. O crânio na cabeça é um detalhe que eu posso ter encontrado descrito em um texto, bem como a sugestão fálica à esquerda. As estatuetas que eu talvez tenha visto poderiam ser muito semelhantes aos que encontrei na web, mas a ilustração pode ser quase idêntica. Eu não sei como encontrei este material na Roma renascentista sob a vigilância da Inquisição, mas algumas dessas imagens me faz sentir como reencontrando velhos brinquedos secretos. =)

Ardhanarishvara marca o limite dos chakras superiores, onde os aspectos masculino e feminino de Deus estão unidos novamente e a abertura do terceiro olho ocorre.
